IT Infrastructure Engineer -

 

 

Role Overview

Edward Snell & Co. are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a CCNA and MCSE certification, along with a minimum of an IT diploma and at least 5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure management.

 

 

Key Result Areas

  • Server and Networking Infrastructure Management:
    • Design, implement, and manage the organization’s server and networking infrastructure.
    • Ensure the stability, security, and optimal performance of servers and network components.
  • Monitoring and Issue Resolution:
    • Monitor the uptime and availability of the entire IT infrastructure.
    • Proactively identify and resolve issues related to servers, networking, and associated systems.
  • Patching and Updates:
    • Manage the patching and updates of firmware and operating systems to maintain security and performance standards.
    • Implement a structured approach to maintain all systems up to date with the latest software releases.
  • Backup Management:
    • Develop and implement backup strategies for servers and critical data.
    • Ensure regular backups are performed, and conduct periodic recovery tests to validate backup integrity.
  • Vendor Technologies:
    • Possess expertise in Nutanix, HP networking, SANs, Fortigate, and Zscaler technologies.
    • Manage and troubleshoot issues related to these technologies.
  • Microsoft 365 Experience:
    • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration and management.
    • Leverage Microsoft 365 tools and services to enhance organizational productivity.

 

 

Qualifications and Minimum Requirements

  • CCNA and MCSE certifications are mandatory.
  • Minimum of an IT diploma or equivalent educational background.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure management.
  • Proficiency in Nutanix, HP networking, SANs, Fortigate, and Zscaler.
  • Strong knowledge of server and networking protocols and
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
