Bushmills Original Irish Whiskey is a blend of triple distilled malt whiskey and a lighter grain distilled whiskey. It’s an easy drinking, versatile whiskey that can be enjoyed neat, over ice or with your favourite mixer.
On the nose, floral notes emerge, with hints of citrus. In the mouth, it is tangy, with elderflower, minerality and hints of costal spray. The finish is long with sweet barley and some subtle spice.
The history of Bushmills Irish Whiskey dates back to 1784, when Mr Hugh Anderson formally registered “The Old Bushmills Distillery” in County Antrim, Ireland. The copper potstill became the distilleries registered trademark and remains so to this day.
Through the years of prohibition, booms, world wars, distillery fires and lows, Bushmills has made it through, and always stuck soundly to its original recipes, crafting exceptional blended and single malt Irish Whiskies to this day.
